aloka is a mobile application that helps people living alone and their trusted family members, friends, caregivers, or other trusted contacts stay connected through simple daily check-ins. Users can set reminders to confirm they are okay, add trusted people to their Family Circle, and allow alerts to be sent if a check-in is missed.
We designed aloka to support independence, care, and peace of mind. We do not design aloka as a surveillance tool, medical device, emergency response service, or replacement for emergency services.

2. Important Safety and Privacy Notice
aloka helps trusted people notice when a check-in is missed. A missed check-in does not necessarily mean that an emergency occurred, and a successful check-in does not guarantee that a person is safe.
aloka does not provide medical advice, emergency services, professional care services, continuous monitoring, or guaranteed alert delivery. If you believe that someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services directly.

You must only provide contact information for people when you have a lawful and appropriate reason to do so. You should not add someone to your Family Circle in a misleading, abusive, or unlawful way.

The core aloka experience is based on check-ins, not constant location tracking.
